Woodlawn School is seeking experienced full-time, inspiring and engaging Lead and Associate Teachers for our growing Lower School classes, for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidates are curious, enthusiastic leaders and collaborators that  model lifelong learning, enjoy working with early elementary students, and are passionate about teaching and project-based learning . 

 

We are seeking candidates that enjoy differentiating instruction, and are interested in joining our project-based interdisciplinary team. The school seeks faculty members who are passionate about their respective areas of expertise, eager to collaborate with other teachers across disciplines, committed to ongoing professional development, and willing to contribute their talents and time to extra-curricular student programming and activities. 

 

The successful candidate will have:

*A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a elementary education, or a related field; Master’s in education preferred (Lead Teacher)

*Understanding of the developmental needs of lower school students

*High degree of flexibility and collaboration 

*Interest in service learning and community building 

*Three years or more of classroom experience in lower school education

*Experience creating and developing curriculum for lower school students

*Excellent written and oral communication skills

*Understanding of independent school culture
