Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Teacher license preferred.
• Prior experience preferred.

Job Description:

• Teaching science curriculum (Next Generation Science Standards) in grades 6-8
• Serve as an advisor to grades 5-8
• Travel with a group to a fall class trip (3 days, 2 nights)
• Plan and implement a week of experiential learning for small group in May
• Facilitate community within the middle school
• Attend required events outside of normal school hours

We are looking for a full time middle school science teacher (5th-7th grades). In addition, the teacher will be an advisor to a small group of 5th-8th grade students, helping to develop social-emotional growth, as part of our mission is to develop the whole child. Other duties involve traveling with a group to a fall class trip (3 days, 2 nights), planning a week of experiential learning for a small group in May, and helping facilitate community within the middle school. Our science curriculum is aligned to Next Generation Science Standards and covers a wide range of life, physical, and earth sciences.
